The brightside? The game is fun, you can lop off people's heads, you can have a laugh with the players (though, some are toxic), there's some cool mods out there that have new game modes such as horde and star wars mod, there's a lot to do, and the game is in general fun to take part of, but just be prepared and understand that there are players on this game that have sunk a lot of time in to it, and they will ♥♥♥♥ on you 10 times out of 10 until you sink some time in to the game yourself and have a feel for the mechanics and understand how to duel. But that's just how much of a learning curve there is, you CAN be as good as these players, but be prepared to sink in hundreds of hours to learn it. Basically, you will be utterly ♥♥♥♥ on for dozens of hours, dedicated veterans will beat you in every duel, because they have dedicated that much time to learning and exploiting the combat system, there will definitely be moments where you will rage quit, there will definitely be moments where you will go "how the ♥♥♥♥ did he do that, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥", there will be moments where you think blocking is broken. So, the game has a gigantic learning curve as I mentioned. Now for the part that is going to be the make or break for you, this will decide whether or not you want this game. The game is decently populated in a sense that, you will definitely find servers up, not once have I ever logged in and not found a server up (then again, that's for the OCE servers, don't know how NA is doing), so in terms of popularity, it's not densely populated, but you will always find a server. As someone who has played this game for 1700+ hours, I can tell you now it has a massive learning curve.
